Fabric printing
So recently I have been thinking a lot about Pantone's, printing and colour matching. When it comes to printing your artwork as a designer and making sure the colours match up to those originally designed it can be a bit of a minefield so finding a reliable company/supplier is oh so important.
I have been exploring my options with regards to printing on fabric and came across a lovely local supplier Prinfab fabric printers based in Faversham, a stone's throw away from where I am based in Ashford, Kent.
I think is so important to know the quality of your work and not to settle for anything less than how you intended the design to look when you were in the process of designing it. So much can go wrong with missing detail, loss or change of colour and also scale. Its all very well looking at a mock-up but sometimes it's hard to visualise the final product.
Putting the extra effort into double-checking the scale is appropriate for the intended end product and generally taking a bit more care in selecting the right printer/supplier for you, goes a long way and is something I will certainly be continuing to implement in the future.
Good quality control wins through and I am so happy with the final results. I now have some beautiful fabric printed and ready for my next project.

On this occasion, I chose a soft jersey material and a gorgeous fleece which I plan to make a super cosy blanket with for my daughters. Can't wait to get started!
